Senator Vows To Defend Money Funds
Senator Pat Toomey, a Republican from Pennsylvania, said he would not rule out proposing legislation to protect money market funds from new rules being planned by the Securities and Exchange Commission. “If much of this comes to pass it really threatens to wipe out this product,” Toomey said.
