The 19th Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards

The 19th Annual Mutual Fund Industry Awards recognize the funds, fund leaders, marketers, trustees and independent counsel who stood out for their successes, achievements and contributions in 2011.

Nominees were announced online on February 3rd and in the February 6th issue of  Fund Director Intelligence and Fund Industry Intelligence and will be honored and awarded at our annual awards dinner and ceremony on April 5, 2012, at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City.

This year's event also celebrates the Rising Stars of Mutual Funds. Nominated by their managers, colleagues and mentors, the 'Rising Stars' are selected by the publishers of Institutional Investor Intelligence as up-and-coming professionals poised to be future thought leaders. Expect Miracles Awards
At this year's awards dinner, our charity partner the Expect Miracles Foundation (formerly Mutual Funds Against Cancer) presents their 3nd Annual Expect Miracles Awards. These awards recognized the individuals and firms within the financial community for their outstanding support, commitment and dedication in the fight against cancer and/or cancer-patient care programs.

    Expect Miracles Foundation (formerly Mutual Funds Against Cancer) 3rd Annual Expect Miracles Awards will be presented at Fund Industry Intelligence and Fund Director Intellgience’s 19th Annual Mutual Funds Industry Awards on April 5, 2012 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC.

    The Expect Miracles Awards are presented on an annually basis to individuals and firms within the financial community who have demonstrated outstanding support, commitment and dedication, as it relates to the fight against cancer and/or support of cancer- patient care programs. Nominees are individuals/firms whose behavior and actions separate them as role models for others within our industry.

    Last year’s categories of recognition include:
    - Corporate Commitment Award: Recognizes a firm that has demonstrated an organizational commitment to the fight against cancer.
    - Company for a Cure Award: Recognizes a firm for an innovative initiative or event in 2011 that helped to further cancer awareness and raise funds for cancer-related programs.
    - Miracle Maker Leadership Award: Recognizes an individual at an executive or board level who has demonstrated long-standing personal leadership in cancer advocacy.
    - Inspiration Contributor Award: Recognizes an individual whose personal efforts helped to ensure the success of a cancer-related project, event, or fundraising initiative in 2011.
